Official Rules
ELIGIBILITY

All participants must be at least 18 years of age or older to play.

All participants must be legal residents of the United States.
-
All participants must hold a valid US Social Security card to claim a prize.
Prize winners that fail to comply with eligibility rules will forfeit the prize.
ILLINOIS IRS RULES AND REPORTING REQUIREMENTS
-
All prizes over $599 will be paid by check and the recipient will be issued a W-2G.
-
The winner must confirm their identity and SSN number by completing and signing such documents as may be required under state and/or federal law and IRS Form W-2G.
-
The winner may be subject to federal and/or state withholding.
-
Winnings will not be distributed until all documents required by law or regulation have been completed and signed. This may take up to two weeks or more.

All prizes over $5,000
-
The Funding Project is required to fill out a W-2G and withhold federal income tax
-
The Funding Project will give the winner a net amount. The Funding Project keeps the taxes and pays them upfront to the IRS.
-
The winner reports the gross winnings on their income tax and also report the withholdings.
-
The Funding Project will not payout unless the winner provides all personal information necessary to complete the W-2G including social security number within 30 days of notification. If the winner refuses or fails to provide the required information within the timeframe allotted, then the Let’s Find the Queen board will reset and the jackpot will revert to The Funding Project.

If a player is unwilling or unable to complete, sign or provide any of the required documents, the prize money will revert to The Funding Project.

The treasurer will issue a check to the winner once a W-2G is fully completed.
-
Checks can be mailed through UPS or FedEx with a tracking number.

A winner may not donate the prize without first taking ownership of the prize, which means the appropriate and required state and federal documents must be completed, signed and issued, and any appropriate withholdings taken.
-
If the winner wishes to donate the prize once he/she has taken ownership of the prize, then he/she may do so.

GAME DETAILS
-
The Board consists of a full standard deck of cards plus two jokers.
-
Each card on the Let’s Find the Queen board will be numbered 1 – 54.
-
When purchasing your ticket(s) you will write the number of the card from the Let’s Find the Queen board you think is hiding the Queen of Hearts!
-
Once a ticket is drawn, the card on the Board that corresponds to the number selected on the ticket will be turned over. If the Queen of Hearts is turned over, the winning ticket holder will receive 50% of the pot!
-
REMINDER - If you or anyone else pick the same number card on the board that is okay! Only 1 raffle ticket will be chosen each week from all locations.
-
We will gather the tickets every Monday morning from ALL the Rookies and The Village Squire to put them all together in one large raffle drum.
-
It does not matter what location you purchase tickets at - all the tickets will be combined to pull just one ticket every Monday night.
-
There is one winner each week - even if the Queen of Hearts is not found (more details can be found under “PAYOUT”.

The Queen is always on the move. Be sure to check our website and social media for updates. Drawing Cut off times will vary, so please check before you purchase your tickets.

IN PERSON TICKET SALES

Tickets are $5 for 1 ticket.

In person ticket sales for the next drawing will end at close of the specific location on the night before the drawing.

IMPORTANT - The only location that you can purchase tickets the day of the raffle for it to qualify for that night’s drawing is the location of the drawing.
ONLINE TICKET SALES

Tickets are $5 for 1 ticket.
-
Tickets can be purchased online until 11:59 p.m. the night before the drawing.
-
Tickets online can be purchased from either projectmopbility.org or thefundingproject.org.
-
Once your online ticket sale is submitted, you will receive a confirmation email receipt for your records. If you do not receive a confirmation please contact us.
-
Each online ticket will be converted to a paper raffle ticket for each ticket sold by a volunteer or staff member of The Funding Project and/or Project Mobility.
PAYOUT
-
When the queen of hearts is revealed and there is a winner the payout is as follows:
-
50% - Winner of Let’s Find the Queen
-
25% - The Funding Project
-
25% - Project Mobility
-

All expenses to manage Let’s Find the Queen raffle will be paid first from the total, then the remaining jackpot will be paid out to the winner and The Funding Project and Project Mobility.

10% from the jackpot will be set aside to start the new jackpot for the next Let’s Find the Queen raffle
-

$25 gift card to Karas Restaurant Group.

$100 value of free tickets for the following week’s raffle (20 tickets).

Cash payout for the following cards

Number card - $25 payout

Face card - $50 payout

Joker - $100 and we start a new board

TICKET SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS

It is the player’s responsibility to ensure their tickets are filled out correctly and legibly.

If we can’t read it you can’t win, your ticket will be void.

Double check all information before submission.

You will have to show a State ID or Driver's License to win the jackpot

If we pull a ticket and it is missing information or can’t be read it will be discarded and another ticket will be pulled - no exceptions.
INCENTIVE PROGRAM

All Karas Restaurant Group employees 18 years of age or older are eligible to win 10% of the jackpot if the ticket they sold is the winning ticket of the Queen of Hearts.
-
Employees only at Karas Restaurant Group locations selling tickets are eligible.
-
The employee’s first and last name must be written on the ticket they sold.
-
The amount the employee can win is capped at $10,000.

GENERAL TERMS & CONDITIONS

If you do not agree with the rules of this game, there is no obligation to play. By entering this raffle, all contestants agree to be bound by these rules. The Funding Project shall be solely responsible for interpreting and applying these rules, and it’s interpretation and application shall be final and binding.

Only individuals 18 years or older at the time of purchase may enter the raffle, and any purchase by individuals under 18 shall be invalid and not eligible for any winnings and will revert to The Funding Project.

The Funding Project reserves the right to amend these rules as needed.
-
The Funding Project reserves the right to cancel this raffle at any time, for any reason, by posting reasonable notice.

Prizes MUST be claimed within 30 days after the day the winning ticket is pulled. Unclaimed prizes will be donated back to The Funding Project.
DISCLAIMER, RELEASE & LIMITATION OF REMEDY

The Funding Project and Project Mobility, its Executive Committee, Officers, Home Board Members, Volunteers and any person or entity working with any of them in connection with the Raffle, assume no responsibility and shall not be responsible for any lost, late, misdirected, mutilated, incomplete, illegible entries or failure to receive entries.

By entering this Raffle: Each entrant agrees that for himself or herself, and his or her heirs, administrators, executors, personal representatives and assigns, release and hold harmless The Funding Project or Project Mobility, its Executive Committee, Officers, Home Board Members, Volunteers and any person or entity working in conjunction with The Funding Project or Project Mobility in connection with the Raffle (released Entities), from any and all claims, demands, and causes of action (except claims for gross negligence and intentional torts), whether arising in tort or contract, in law or in equity, for any and all injury, loss or damage, caused or claimed to be caused by entrant’s participation in the Raffle. Each entrant also agrees that the released entities are not responsible for any warranty, representation, or guarantee, expressed or implied, in fact of in law, relating to the Raffle. Each entrant further agrees that (1) any and all disputes, claims, and causes of action arising out of or in connection with the Raffle shall be resolved individually without resort to any form of class action ; (ii) any claims, judgments and awards shall be limited to actual out-of- pocket costs incurred, including costs associated with entering the Raffle, but in no event attorney’s fees; (iii) under no circumstances will entrants be permitted to obtain any award for, and hereby waive all rights to claim punitive, incidental or consequential damages, and any and all rights to have damages multiplied or otherwise increased and any other damages other than damages for actual out-of-pocket expenses. Each entrant’s sole and exclusive remedy for any claim arising out of or related in any way to entrant’s participation in this Raffle shall be limited to the purchase price paid for his or her tickets in connection with the weekly drawing at issue.
